Austin, Texas In collaboration with A Parallel Architecture
The material palette consists of open grained cypress ceilings, rift white oak millwork, old growth walnut floors and painted brick. This variety of woods and textures is toned down with the simplicity of warm white walls. To complement the home’s fusion of contemporary and mid-century architecture, the interior features a range of soft modern furnishings.

BARTON CREEK RESIDENCE
Ground up residence in Austin, Texas. Designed in collaboration with Homestead Architecture and built by David Wilkes Builders. Photographed by Chase Daniel.
Furniture selection and custom upholstery created in conjunction with Alterstudio Architects.
Located in the historic Cherrywood neighborhood of East Austin, this 1949 residence underwent a complete renovation. Walls between the dining room, living, and kitchen were removed to create an open plan in the public areas. Fresh white walls contrast the home's original steel windows and highlight the home owners' colorful mix of local and vintage artwork. A tailored mix of traditional, modern, and ethnic furniture give the house its refined eclectic vibe.
